The positive effects of computer on the intellectual development of children.

The introduction of the computer has a remarkable effect on young children. Today, computers have become common and most children are owing one. Thus, children are getting closer to computers at home, at school, and in any other setting. The traditional ways of learning have changed, as computers now play an important role in childhood development. Therefore, computers are beneficial for children in some ways.

Children are surrounded by modern technology. Their computers are used to connect to Internet  and it is also important to improve kid’s learning. First, many excellent educational software programs exist to help children learn. These programs can help improve a child's skill in a number of different critical areas, including vocabulary, math, logical thinking, typing, history and so on. These programs make learning easier and faster than other traditional methods such as textbooks or oral lectures. For instant, The DragonBox series are a set of educational games that help kids learn basic math fundamentals. There are five learning apps for kids in total. A few apps deal with algebra and geometry. All five of them deal with numbers to some extent.

Second, computers also change the way that children are educated at school. They receive more homework online. They have homepage to ask question or receive answers from either friends or teachers. The computer which accesses to internet provides students with a myriad of extra resources beside their textbooks for knowledge. For example, less books and notebooks to be carried. With less books and notebooks to carry around each day, there is less of a chance that materials will be forgotten or left behind. This means that students can no longer disrupt lessons because they arrive to class unprepared, or fall behind because they forgot to bring their books home with them.

Children who used computers and the Internet at an early age have a tendency to do better in class than those who don't. Computers literacy is becoming an essential skill, as almost every school in the country has computers. This will also be important later in life, as computers play an increasingly large role in our lives.

Differences between football and boxing

Not everyone likes playing the same sport, if so, there would be only one type of sports in our lives. Obviously, everyone was born to be unique in term of interest, characteristics, and lifestyle…etc. Sport, for instance, can show the uniqueness through the type you choose and the way you play. There are plenty of sports which people are taking these day; some are friendly, some are competitive and others may be a violent one. Meanwhile, there are two quite different types among the most popular sports, namely
football and boxing.

The primary thing about the differences is the solidarity and independency of the sportsmen. Football, practically, the spirit of this sport is to create a sense of solidarity in your team. It takes 11 players working and communicating together to be successful. Every single player’s contribution is very important to the team. The whole team cannot depend on only a greatest player because we play 11 against 11 players on the field, even though you are a great player but you cannot beat those players by your own efforts without your teammates’ collaboration. All football players should be trained in the same training camp under coaching of the same coach for a period of time before a game start.

Unlike the football, boxing requires a strong sense of independency of its sportsmen. You learn to fight alone against your opponent without helping from other people during the match. Thus, to be self-confidence, maintain your mood and to defend your body by own efforts is the key to survive and succeed in this toughest sport. There is a great disparity of characteristics in the match between the two sports. Every level of people can watch and play football no matter how young or old they are, whether male or female, normal people or patients, that’s because football is a peaceful sport. In contrast, the boxing seems brutally violent because the competitor must fight his/her opponents by throwing more punches, more powerful to weaken them and eventually make them fall down in order to beat them. According to this, it’s not suitable for children, pregnant women, heart-disease people to watch such violent match.

The last but not least difference between the two sports is the physical strength. To become a great footballer, you need to be trained to be dynamic and full of tactics along with an acceptable strong body. You are just able to run at a high speed with your strong body and use tactics to manage the ball, that’s enough. However, the boxer need to come across very difficult physical training. They are trained to resist the force from punching from their opponents without significant physical hurt and fight them back. It takes hours in the gym and years to develop the specific characteristics needed to be a great boxer Even though football and boxing have many differences, but both sports requires sportsmen’s interest and determination to be successful. Although we are interested in different types of sport, we should give value to them all even not your favorite ones.

The Negative Effects of Using Facebook for Cambodian Students

Facebook is one of the most popular social medias on the internet. In this site, billions of people from different countries all over the world are using it. As we known, while Facebook has many benefits on us, but it also has many negative effects on our life too. In fact, the negative effect of using Facebook for Cambodian students, there are several main points such as eyes problem and effect on health, wasted times and money, depression, weakening long distance relationship, no concentrate on studying and lazier.

Once we started on Facebook, you tried to check your friend’s account, watched clip video or read your friend’s status every day and you spent too much times on it even at night, it causes made your eyes problem. If you are looking at the phone or computer screen the whole day you probably no feel to sleep and your tear fall also. Using Facebook too much can make you blink less because of our phone screen or computer screen also. In addition, it affects to your health too such sleep late at night make you no power, you feel headache because of you’re watching too much and make your brain thinking less also.

The second point is wasting time. Students will waste their time by spending of our time on Facebook everyday doing silly things such as reading your friends status messages or trying to comment on everyone status. Then you will download picture of your friends or your family. Also, you try to find a best picture to change your profile for this day. Also, you will spend hours by looking to your friend picture and leave a funny comment for them on every pictures. Before, we online we have to pay money for our phone like you charge the money. So, most of your time and your money will be spending in playing with your friends on Facebook. That is the useless things that we did every day.

Third point, starting on Facebook sometimes depends on your feeling.  If you feel good it isn’t the problem, but if you check Facebook while you are sad, it will make you depression. Example, while you feel alone like your family ignore you and then you saw your friend’s Facebook post with their family, you will feel depressed by using Facebook. In addition, you also got jealous while you are checking on it such your friend’s birthday, then their parents buy new phone for her birthday and she posted it, so you will feel jealous in your mind and you must be thinking about that thing why isn’t you. It is the negative thing
for us that using Facebook.

Fourth point, using Facebook also makes us losse long distance relationship. If you were in relationship with someone, you chat to each other every day, but one day you got chat from your Facebook’s friend. Then he chats to you every day you both are getting involve new relationship, and one day your partner will something wrong with you. You and your partner will get long distend.

The last, playing Facebook everyday became to your habit, you will feel lazy and don’t want to do anything. Example: your teacher asked you to do homework, but you have excuse on yourself because you are busy with your Facebook so that made you no concentrating on your studying. Likewise, during you are studying but your phone is online and you scroll Facebook or play chat or comment with your friend, it is the reason that make you don’t pay attention with teacher are teaching so you will skip your lessons and one day you will low grade also, because of using Facebook during studying. These is the negative
effect for all of us.

In conclusion, using Facebook definitely comes with negative effects, but not everyone who uses the site is affected. As the reason above that explain about negative effects of using Facebook for Cambodians students. I just want all Cambodian students use it with positive things. We should be able to use the site responsibly by not posting too much information and not spending too much time on Facebook.

Phnom Bourkor

I think we all have a beautiful place in our mind. I have a wonderful place that made me happy a lot of time, year ago. But sometime I think that I am the only person who likes this place and I’m asking myself if this place will be beautiful as I thought when I will back to visit it again. Perhaps I made it beautiful in my mind. This place is meaningful to me because it is part of the country I loved, is part of the country where was born and is part of my childhood. This place is in the South-west of the country, it is the highest mountain in Kampot province.

It is Named Monivong Bokor National park, nowadays people called it Thansuor Bokor or Phnom Bokor. It is about twelve kilometers west of Kampot province town. Phnom Bokor was first discovered by a group of foreigners in twentieth century and later organized by Frenchman named Toulouse, during the reign of king Sisowath. During colonial time, Phnom Bokor was a place of leisure for the French colonists looking for an alternative to the coastal plain. During then-Prince Norodom Sihanouk’s Sangkum Reaser Niyum regime, many public buildings were built here, and Phnom Bokor became a small town, Borie Bokor.

Today, most of those buildings are dilapidated and no longer for use. For the ride, for the scenery, for the cool mountain air, for the adventure, for relaxation. All good reasons to travel the the top of Bokor Mountain. 32 kilometers and 1,101 meters up from road 3 near Kampot, is the Bokor Mountain Hill Station, in Bokor National Park. Originally a small resort town, it is now an abandoned ghost town and National Park. Except for the many tourist and Park personnel, and a few hundred construction workers that is. Most famous for the abandoned Casino at the top of the mountain, there is also a church, buildings for the former king. When you arrived the Phnom Bokor, you would have a wonderful experience when visit the beauty of nature here with a number of animals and plants such as elephants, tigers, foxes and monkeys, so on. Walking at the top of the Phnom Bokor is an old temple that you can visit its interior and observe a spectacular view from the top of this hill.

In conclusion, I really enjoy this place too much. Although I have gone this 3 or 4 time, I don’t feel bored even I want to go more than before. I wanna say I love this place. I have feeling pleasure where this place in my province.

The causes and effect of water pollutions

Water pollution has become a growing concern over the last century
as more and more waste are being disposed of in our oceans, rivers and
lakes. This increase in pollution is harming our food supplies, drinking
water and environment. It is also creating issues in the oceans ecosystem
and hurting the animals and plant life that rely on the ocean and rivers for
their survival. What is water pollution? Water pollution is caused by the
intentional or unintentional release of toxic chemicals/materials,
contaminants and harmful compounds into various bodies of water such as
rivers, lakes and the ocean. Without proper disposal or filtration of these
pollutants they can spread throughout the water and effect all living
animals and organisms that come into contact with it by contaminating any
living thing that requires water for survival.
Water pollution may be caused by the intentional or unintentional
disposal of hazardous chemicals and materials into a body of water.
Rainfall may cause polluted landscapes to disperse their poisonous
materials into the water and poison the surrounding water. Water pollution
may also be caused by specific points or contributing factors such as large
factories, oil refineries, construction sites, chemical waste management
facilities, dump sites and other large-scale operations that store/produce
large amounts of chemical/hazardous waste.
Water pollution may be affected by the toxic rainfall that can occur
in areas where water and/or air is polluted with toxic chemicals and
materials. Polluted water can lead to sickness, disease, infections,
deformities and even death among animals and plant life. Once water
becomes polluted it can affect people and animals either directly through
consumption or indirectly through food sources, land degradation and the
overabundance of plants and algae which can cover the surface of various
bodies of water making it undrinkable and affecting the animals that live
in that body of water.
Therefore, water pollution is indeed a very serious concern because
it not only has an impact on health and but also can have negative effects
on various industries and agriculture. It is therefore highly important to
devise methods to reduce the level of water pollution that we are currently
facing.

“Describe the qualities of two kinds of professions”

Nowadays, job is needed for people’s daily living. There always have a gap
between two different kinds of job which people have to consider and choose it carefully.
However those two different kinds of job that people think, there are many same
characteristics for example a doctor and a soldier. The obvious similarities between these
two are mentioned by the willingness for their job, working environment and the finance-
condition.
One important similarity is the willingness for their job. People who are in these
two kind work hard to their nation. Every single person of the society sleeps sound,
parties hard and enjoy complete because we have soldiers always prepare to protect the
very existence of the society. They posted in all the war fronts of the country such as stay
sharp and vigilant all the time. Likewise, a doctor though very important part of our society,
who learns all about the human body, the physiology and anatomy to save our lives as we say, to
help us in recover from all the illness and the trauma.
The similarity between doctor and soldier is working environment. Soldiers work
along the border or in forest sometime. The place where they stay up is dangerous. They
are facing with illness and the death all times such Malaria, land mine. In contrast, doctor
might work in an operation room which more comfortable than in the forest. On the hand,
doctor work in a pressured room. They must be carefully everything to save a patient.
They also face with illness and the death all times which transmitted from patients.
Finally, finance condition is also the important thing for both jobs. As we see,
nowadays the most soldiers in the currently in our society are poor with a low-salary.
And they live far from the city so they family such their wife or children cannot go to
work for support their family. Fortunately, doctor has a high-salary compared to soldier

but this profession cannot make them rich. Some countries don’t allow you to create a
business such as hospital or clinic. Everything is base on the law and if you still want to
open your own business, you must complete the complex requirement which the
government needs. So you can only work in hospital which belongs to government.
Although people say that doctor is obviously different from soldier, there are
many similarities which are mentioned in the willingness for their job, working
environment and the finance-condition. Moreover, it is important to remember that both
of these two professions play an important role to our society such as saving life as well
as peaceful for our country.

The process of designing condominium

There is a significant development in infrastructure these days in Cambodia since many new
buildings had appeared during the last decades. Cambodian people are more likely to live in the
condominium rather than the apartment, flat or residential block. Consequently, condominium are
increasing more and more in the city, especially they are not only beautiful but also livable. In order to
build a condominium, it is required some vital steps in designing which are responsible by the architects.
First of all, it is about studying the project and functioning it. The designer must know where the
project will take place as it is extremely important for analyzing the site location. For example, if a
condominium is planned to build, being an architect should examine the location clearly to know about
the strengths of the area, also the weakness, the opportunity and the last thing is the threats to deal with.
After that, functioning is also an indispensable task. Designers should use the space to its optimum as
they have to design floor plans at this stage. All types of rooms must be carefully divided and comfortable
to live in. For instance, designer need to know how many rooms that can be put in a unit and where they
are located. Another thing is a landscape of the condominium like the swimming pool, gym area and
green space.
Moreover, drafting the concept also plays a very important role for designing the condominium.
Most of the famous building in the world are well-known due to their concepts. Concept is an invention
of idea toward a project. Animals, plants and geometry forms are the good examples that are mostly used
to create or propose the concepts. In addition, after finishing the concept, they are able to start to develop
their elevations of the building. In this stage, they have to design each view such as right, left, rear and
front. Normally, they ought to be skillful in computer programs. Using the graphic design is easier to see
whether the whole building is nice-looking and acceptable or not. When the first draft is completed, it is
time for the developer to present or indicate the plans and concepts below to customer.
Last but not least, after discussing with customer, the designer must produce the final draft and a
complete information within the project. There must be some controversy over the opinions or ideas on
the project. For instance, the owner somehow does not like the function of the rooms since they are kind
of small and unusable. Therefore, architect needs to bring out the solutions or new ideas without
disturbing other parts of the work too much. Then they again have to show what they had changed to
owner and decide for a final draft. In this part, all the information’s and data’s such as the floor plans,
elevations, sections, details and others must be sum together into a book and give it to engineer to start
the construction.
To sum up, designing condominium is not an easy thing since a lot of steps are taking. To my
mind, being an architect is holding a high responsibility. What they design must be comfortable,
attractive, sustainable and livable. If they were not to do this, it would cause adversely affects to not only
the users but also the environment and communities.

“Impacts of Air Pollution”

Air pollution is one of the most serious environmental problem against our civilization today.
It is often caused by human activities such as mining, construction, transportation, industrial work,
agriculture, and smelting. However, natural processes such as volcanic eruptions and wildfires may
also pollute the air, but they occur rarely and they usually have a local effect, unlike human activities
that are ubiquitous causes of air pollution and contribute to the global pollution of the air every single
day. Air pollution has serious effects on the human health. It can harm us when it accumulates in the
air in high enough concentrations. Billions people in the world live in areas where urban smog,
particle pollution, and toxic pollutants pose serious health concerns. People exposed to high enough
levels of certain air pollutants may experience. Along with harming human health, air pollution can
cause a variety of environmental effects, too.
Acid rain: Acid rain is precipitation containing harmful amounts of nitric and sulfuric acids.
These acids are formed primarily by nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides released into the atmosphere
when fossil fuels are burned. These acids fall to the Earth either as wet precipitation (rain, snow, or
fog) or dry precipitation (gas and particulates). Some are carried by the wind, sometimes hundreds
of miles. In the environment, acid rain damages trees and causes soils and water bodies to acidify,
making the water unsuitable for some fish and other wildlife. It also speeds the decay of buildings,
statues, and sculptures that are part of our national heritage. Acid rain has damaged lakes, ponds,
rivers, and soils, leading to damaged wildlife and forests.
Effects on wildlife: Toxic pollutants in the air, or deposited on soils or surface waters, can
impact wildlife in a number of ways. Like humans, animals can experience health problems if they
are exposed to sufficient concentrations of air toxics over time. Studies show that air toxics are
contributing to birth defects, reproductive failure, and disease in animals. Persistent toxic air
pollutants (those that break down slowly in the environment) are of particular concern in aquatic
ecosystems. These pollutants accumulate in sediments and may biomagnified in tissues of animals at
the top of the food chain to concentrations many times higher than in the water or air.
Ozone depletion: Ozone is a gas that occurs both at ground-level and in the Earth's upper
atmosphere, known as the stratosphere. At ground level, ozone is a pollutant that can harm human
health. In the stratosphere (the second layer of the atmosphere), however, ozone forms a layer that
protects life on earth from the sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. But this "good" ozone is gradually

being destroyed by man-made chemicals referred to as ozone-depleting substances, including
chlorofluorocarbons, hydrochloric, fluorocarbons, and halons. These substances were formerly used
and sometimes still are used in coolants, foaming agents, fire extinguishers, solvents, pesticides, and
aerosol propellants. Thinning of the protective ozone layer can cause increased amounts of UV
radiation to reach the Earth, which can lead to more cases of skin cancer, cataracts, and impaired
immune systems. UV can also damage sensitive crops, such as soybeans, and reduce crop yields.
Crop and forest damage: Air pollution can damage crops and trees in a variety of ways.
Ground-level ozone can lead to reductions in agricultural crop and commercial forest yields, reduced
growth and survivability of tree seedlings, and increased plant susceptibility to disease, pests and
other environmental stresses (such as harsh weather). As described above, crop and forest damage
can also result from acid rain and from increased UV radiation caused by ozone depletion.
Global climate change: The Earth's atmosphere contains a delicate balance of naturally
occurring gases that trap some of the sun's heat near the Earth's surface. This "greenhouse effect"
keeps the Earth's temperature stable. Unfortunately, evidence is mounting that humans have disturbed
this natural balance by producing large amounts of some of these greenhouse gases, including carbon
dioxide and methane. As a result, the Earth's atmosphere appears to be trapping more of the sun's
heat, causing the Earth's average temperature to rise - a phenomenon known as global warming. Many
scientists believe that global warming could have significant impacts on human health, agriculture,
water resources, forests, wildlife, and coastal areas.
In brief, there are many impacts of Air Pollution which effect to our living nowadays. With air
pollutants being such a widespread epidemic, it’s imperative that we come together as Earth’s
inhabitants to become part of the solution, instead of continuing to be the problem. We can make the
choice to drive less toxic automobiles. We can choose how much energy we consume on a daily basis
such as renewable energy. We can also choose to reuse our old materials instead of dumping them
into the environment. Air pollution can have some devastating impacts on our bodies and the planet,
while there is only one planet where life exists so we should maintain our planet for ourselves and
others living shapes.

The quality of an ideal friend

I have met many friends in my life and I mentioned that I have only one ideal friend. I
met her since the first year of university but I just become close with her in the second year. And
now we are studying in different department. But we still have time for each other. She is the
only one who I respected. There are many reasons that made me believe her.

She is the youngest daughter in her family. Her parents had gone away since she was
grade 10. She has 2 others sisters that support her nowadays. Even she has no her parents she still
be strong. She has been taught me a lot of thing. When I walk with her, I feel that she really
honest with me. She told me everything she had passed both in the past and present. When I have
been made something wrong she rare to blame me, she always corrects me to the right way. She
said that no one perfect, just try our best.

To be honest, I’m a temperamental person. I always disappointed with the other or her
even just a small thing. When I got angry with someone I always told that thing to her, she
listens to me and do not say anything until I finish. The word that she said back is keep calm, it’s
gonna be pass soon don’t think it much. sometimes I also got angry with her, she always says
with me, and do not care who is the wrong one because she knows me. She accepts me with
everything that I have.

One more thing I’m the one who is shyness in the class. In our English class teacher told
us to do a presentation instead of mid-term examination. In that time, I have been told her that I
can’t do that because I can’t stand being in the crowd of peoples and I’m also poor with my
English pronunciation. She spent for one hour to give advice and encourage me to fight with that
fear. After that day I try hard to change myself a bit and a bit. When the presentation arrived, I
passed with the good score even it’s not the best score but it’s also good.

In conclusion having an ideal friend is like a lucky thing for us because they take care us
as their family. They never let us feeling down they’re honest, always listen our mind even its
bad or not. To sum up when we have an ideal friend we should know each other well, loving and
taking care each other don’t let them feeling alone if we don’t want to regret when the time is
over.

Mondulkiri Province

Bou Sra Waterfall

People love traveling when they are tired of their job in a polluted city. They may go to the beach, visit the ancient place, or go camping on the mountain. Personally, I like to go hiking the most when I am on vacation . My favorite place, where I usually go on my vacation, is Mondulkiri. There is a bench right in front my bungalow so I can take a nap and enjoy the wave sound. In the room, there is a clean comfort bed and a brand new air conditioner. The bathroom is also nice. Beside the sea, this bungalow is extraordinary. There are garden, swing, and more. It is the great view of this bungalows. I’m really appreciate it.

We should be able to use the site responsibly by not posting too much information and not spending too much time on Facebook.

My Role Modal

You may never notice about the ways you do things or the manners you behave like, where do they come from? Actually, they can be learned from your surrounding people, namely your mother, father, brothers, sisters, relatives and so forth. In another way, they can be called your role model. Me either, I also have a person that can be considered as my role model. His name is Ketya HUN, my concrete-course teacher. He has an oval face with a long nose and high bridge of the nose attached by dark brown eyes and thick eyelashes. He has a beard but no mustache. He’s got a dark crew-cut hair. He’s a charming man. Unfortunately, He’s going bald. I would say he is the best role model changing my life in my engineering field because of some personalities of him.
The primary thing I noticed about the teacher is that he is punctual but not too strict. He rarely come to class late and leave class early. Only he’s very busy in his tasks that he might come to class late, however, he still teaches us until satisfying the amount of time as planned. For instance, if he arrives class late at 7:20 and he’s assigned to teach for 2 hours per session, then he will teach until 9:20. He always teach his students to be in time not only in the class but also in the job for future career. However, he is not too strict without forgiveness. If you have an inevitable obligation and you’re late for his class you just give him a suitable reason, he will allow you for the class.
At any circumstance, he is very steady and relaxing sort of person. No matters what happen he’s always calm and not feel nervous in his mind, that keeps the mind in peace and allows him to solve difficult problems just like a small thing. Actually, you have to learn to face the tough situation in your life, otherwise you would feel nervous and nothing to do for solving that problem and even give up at times. Such kind of behavior is truly necessary for engineering students because you’re going to take over a top position in an institution one day. You would be responsible for a megaproject and lead many workers, that’s important to maintains constancy in any situation.
Furthermore, the best quality of his personality is the capacity of critical thinking. Even thing seems very complicated they can catch it up immediately. Sometimes, the thing which is result of his critical thought is amazing because it’s easy to understand even it is initially a complex one. He can see and understand the world differently from the grassroots in the same thing. Maybe he’s a good reader and came across many tough experiences. He is extremely successful explaining difficult topics in an intuitive way.
According to these qualities, I decide to take him into my mind as my role model. And I really eager to be a wonderful person like him. So, I will learn step by step and take into action any good manners and behaviors of him.

Going to college is a dream or many people some do the work, graduate, and find good jobs, other students, however, never finish their university studies. Write an essay about what causes students to drop out of college?

As high school students, most of us were taught the dream of going to college from the importance that it has. In real life, examples from our friends teach us the importance of going to college. If you drop out of college you may lose yourself, your family, and your friends. One of my friends dropped out of college because he had a bad friendship. So, they convinced him not to go to the school, but when he grew up he realized that the college was the most important thing in his life.

We sometimes drop out of the college because of bad friendship. For example, my brother’s friend was just 19 years old and he dropped out of college only because he wanted to fit into a group that was bigger than him. As a result of this, he wanted to be seen as “cool,” but that wasn’t all. Due to this, he used drugs that dropped him out of the college totally. These students don’t want to seem irresponsible, so they make up an excuse, such as the bad friendship.

Another reason we drop out of college is that we want to be independent. A lot of news has been saying that students are sensitive during the adolescence. Because of adolescence, they may think that school is “nothing”, it is just a waste of time. Also, facts have been saying that more and more students are being independent related to the school. A good reason that they are independent is that they want to have their own money. However, when we don’t know how to say no and face whatever problems may cause, we often use to drop out of college to avoid difficulties.

However, dropping out of college is not always negative, in fact, familiar problems can yield positive results. In terms of financial support we know that college costs money, so a lot of students cannot afford it.

To sum up, dropping out of college has many reasons, it’s depending on the situation in each student and got many effects from family and society. In my point of view, dropping out of college is not a good idea for your future plan, you had better give an effort on it and encourage yourself to make your future bright.

What makes a good student?

To become a success in life,we all need to learn to become a good student in every aspect of life. Becoming a good student takes much work and self-discipline. There are many ways that a student can stand out from the rest of the class. These good students are distinguished by their attitude, intellectual skills, consciousness, and achievement.
Everything would indeed seem very easy and enjoyable if we think of school as a place for discovering our self as person not as a frustrating place where we are always pressured by a tremendous amount of work. Furthermore, a good student must be punctual, organized, and know how to develop self-discipline.For instance, he or she must always come to class and the assignments and projects on time. Moreover, time management is the best thing for student to improve is a part of their success. In addition, a good student must be active, be polite. Also, a good student would also always listen to the teachers and never interrupt when the teachers are talking or explaining something. Student need to have deeply responsibility in their work such as assignment or project.

Another way to be a good student is to enjoy school life. Every teacher in the world wants to see hard-working students, but they also want to see a student who enjoys school life and an active student. An active student does not mean funny or athletic student. Active students are the ones who like to be a part of the school society. Active students are mostly involved with activities; for example, sports, clubs or school related organizations. However, it does not stop there. Students try to be a leader from their activities, and they want to show some kind of leadership quality. It is the most obvious evidence which shows how active this person is.

All in all, being a good is not that hard, at least you try your best to achieve your goal. I have met most of the criteria of a good student described above. However, I realize that there are still many hindrances that might keep me from achieving my academic goals such as lack of optimism and confidence. I need to overcome these weaknesses in order to become a successful student.

Causes and Effects of Air Pollution

Pollution is now a common place term, that our ears are attuned to. We hear about the various forms of pollution and read about it through the mass media. Air pollution is one such form that refers to the contamination of the air, irrespective of indoors or outside. A physical, biological or chemical alteration to the air in the atmosphere can be termed as pollution. It occurs when any harmful gases, dust, smoke enters into the atmosphere and makes it difficult for plants, animals and humans to survive as the air becomes dirty. How many of type of pollutions? In order to understand the causes of Air pollution, several divisions can be made. Primarily air pollutants can be caused by primary sources or secondary sources. The pollutants that are a direct result of the process can be called primary pollutants. A classic example of a primary pollutant would be the sulfur-dioxide emitted from factories. Secondary pollutants are the ones that are caused by the inter mingling and reactions of primary pollutants. Smog created by the interactions of several primary pollutants is known to be as secondary pollutant.
The caused of Air pollution has Burning of Fossil Fuels, Agricultural activities and Indoor air pollution. Burning of Fossil Fuels, Sulfur dioxide emitted from the combustion of fossil fuelslike coal, petroleum and other factory combustibles is one the major cause of air pollution. Pollution emitting from vehicles including trucks, jeeps, cars, trains, airplanes cause immense amount of pollution. We rely on them to fulfill our daily basic needs of transportation. Agricultural activities, Ammonia is a very common by product from agriculture related activities and is one of the most hazardous gases in the atmosphere. Use of insecticides, pesticides and fertilizers in agricultural activities has grown quite a lot. They emit harmful chemicals into the air and can also cause water pollutionIndoor air pollution,Household cleaning products, painting supplies emit toxic chemicals in the air and cause air pollution. Have you ever noticed that once you paint walls of your house, it creates some sort of smell which makes it literally impossible for you to breathe.
The Effects of Air pollution has Respiratory and heart problems, Global warming, Acid Rain, and Effect on Wildlife. Respiratory and heart problems, the effects of Air pollution are alarming. They are known to create several respiratory and heart conditions along with Cancer, among other threats to the body. Several millions are known to have died due to direct or indirect effects of Air pollution. Children in areas exposed to air pollutants are said to commonly suffer from pneumonia and asthma. Global warming, another direct effect is the immediate alterations that the world is witnessing due to Global warming. With increased temperatures worldwide, increase in sea levels and melting of ice from colder regions and icebergs, displacement and loss of habitat have already signaled an impending disaster if actions for preservation and normalization aren’t undertaken soon. Acid Rain, Harmful gases like nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides are released into the atmosphere during the burning of fossil fuels. When it rains, the water droplets combine with these air pollutants, becomes acidic and then falls on the ground in the form of acid rain. Acid rain can cause great damage to human, animals and crops. Effect on Wildlife, just like humans, animals also face some devastating effects of air pollution. Toxic chemicals present in the air can force wildlife species to move to new place and change their habitat. The toxic pollutants deposit over the surface of the water and can also affect sea animals.
For finally, Several attempts are being made worldwide on a personal, industrial and governmental levels to curb the intensity at which Air Pollution is rising and regain a balance as far as the proportions of the foundation gases are concerned. This is a direct attempt at slacking Global warming. We are seeing a series of innovations and experiments aimed at alternate and unconventional options to reduce pollutants. Air Pollution is one of the larger mirrors of man’s follies, and a challenge we need to overcome to see a tomorrow. For solution for air pollutions has use public mode of transportation, conserve energy, understand the concept of Reduce, Reuse and Re cycle, Emphasis on clean energy resources and use energy efficient devices.

Bus Vs. Car - Comparison Essay

As a conclusion, I can say that public transportation which is less comfortable and less expensive in contrast to private cars should be chosen with many reasons. Compared with private cars, buses and minibuses’ engines are more powerful because of their structural features.

I.
Every people use vehicles for transportation. Among many means of transportation, the most common ones are the buses and peoples’ private cars. Many people choose them because of their different aspects of thinking. From a general overview, these aspects are categorized into comfortableness, expensiveness and the effects to the environment etc. Both two way of transportation has their pros and cons. These properties need to be examined in detail to be able to evaluate the most appropriate means of transportation.
One of the areas that one should investigate is the comfortableness of the vehicles. People, of course, would like to use their own cars. Because, they are more comfortable than the public transportation vehicles. People feel more comfortable because there are not any people apart from themselves. They can listen to the radio according to their wish. They do not worry about whether they are standing or sitting. They can make telephone calls in their own cars. They don’t have to wait or catch the buses. When we consider this situation from this aspect, private cars are chosen for transportation.
The second point I would like to compare is the expensiveness. Contrary to comfortableness, when we consider the expensiveness aspect, we conclude that public transportation should be chosen. Inasmuch as, the buses hold and transport more passengers in comparison to the private cars. Thanks to their transportation capacity, energy saving and cheap cost of transportation would be possible with buses and public vehicles. Therefore, staff and personnel transport services and student transport services are performed through these vehicles.
This brings us to the third point I would like to make comparison, their effects to the environment. The public transportation vehicles are environmentally friendly. They hold many people at a sitting. If everyone uses their own cars, there would be chaos in traffic jam. There will be a decrease in exhaust fumes in relation to the decrease in the vehicles in traffic. Therefore, it will be less dangerous for global warming. Moreover, there will be less pollution originated from exhaust fumes. The usage of public transportation will decrease the emission of exhaust fumes per capita to the minimum level.
As a conclusion, I can say that public transportation which is less comfortable and less expensive in contrast to private cars should be chosen with many reasons. Compared with private cars, buses and minibuses’ engines are more powerful because of their structural features. In order not to play a negative-effective role in traffic and be another reason for traffic jam, public transportation should be selected in spite of its unfavorable specialties.

Solutions to Traffic Jam in Phnom Penh - Exploring Essay

To summarize, there are three key solutions to address the traffic issues in Cambodia: time management, citizen driving behavior, and law enforcement. People should be made aware of this problem, and it’s crucial that we start with ourselves to promote solidarity and bring about positive change in our society. Don’t wait—let’s start obeying traffic laws now.

Currently, traffic congestion is one of the most significant issues in Cambodia, particularly in Phnom Penh. Every day, rows of crowded cars and motorbikes can be seen stuck in traffic. To tackle this problem, several viable solutions can be proposed.

There are three primary factors contributing to the traffic problem in Phnom Penh: time management, citizen driving behavior, and law enforcement. Why is time management an issue? Here are a few solutions: encourage private sectors to invest in school shuttle buses for students at each school, with buses operating according to school schedules (e.g., 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM). This system, particularly for high school and primary school students, could reduce accidents involving young children and decrease the number of parent vehicles during peak hours, alleviating traffic congestion. Additionally, with affordable fees, students would be less likely to skip school, which would also benefit human resource development in Cambodia, especially in Phnom Penh, with the possibility of expanding the initiative to other provinces.

Regarding public transportation, improvements to the bus system can also help. A well-regarded bus system could attract more tourists to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap by offering them a safer, more convenient alternative to private transportation. Tourists wouldn’t have to worry about getting lost, being overcharged, or getting into accidents. Implementing an app that shows nearby buses would allow people to better manage their time and increase the use of public transportation, ultimately reducing the number of vehicles on the road. The size of buses and schedules should also be optimized to avoid high-traffic areas.

Street vendors selling food on busy streets without designated parking areas also contribute to the problem, as people park their vehicles to buy food. We should consider organizing central locations for street food vendors rather than allowing them to operate anywhere.

Finally, law enforcement remains a crucial issue. Although many highways in Phnom Penh have police stationed on standby, there are still some areas where a lack of oversight leads to traffic jams. The government should increase the number of police officers and ensure their presence at all key points in the city. Another issue frequently mentioned is that police lack the authority to fully enforce the law, especially when it comes to a small number of affluent individuals or foreigners who do not respect traffic rules.

Traffic signs and lights are another contributing factor. When drivers can’t see them, they may drive on the wrong side of the road or run red lights. Additionally, markets that occupy public spaces contribute to congestion, so we should be stricter about how market owners use public space for their own benefit. Large restaurants and universities without their own parking should not be allowed to use streetside space meant for pedestrians.

In conclusion, the government must continue to enforce traffic laws and promote them in school curriculums at both the secondary and higher education levels. Although this is a long-term process, it will yield positive outcomes in the near future. Indeed, if we start with ourselves, we can promote solidarity and bring about much-needed change in our society. Don’t wait—start obeying traffic laws today.

Angkor Wat- Descriptive Essay

Angkor Wat is an incredible monument of a civilization that has vanished ages ago. The monument, however, is still standing, reminding us of the greatest days of the Khmer Empire. This is a unique architectural complex, incredibly difficult in its plan and sophisticated in its execution. Therefore, this place is a must-see for any tourist heading to Southeast Asia.
Each country in the world has contributed to the world’s cultural heritage. One of the most contributing parts of the world to cultural heritage is East Asia. Architectural, religious, musical, visual, and literary forms of art practiced by East Asian people had been greatly influenced by religious traditions practiced in the region in particular, Hinduism and Buddhism. One of the most outstanding monuments ever created under the influence of these two paradigms was the temple complex of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
The Angkor Wat complex is located in the northern province of Siem Reap. Its overall square is approximately 400-square kilometers; on it, numerous temples, basins, reservoirs, canals, and communication routes are located. Angkor Wat had been a center of the Khmer Kingdom; with its impressive monuments, urban plans, and a complicated system of canals, the site is an exemplar of Khmer architecture, closely linked to the geographical context, and possessing strong symbolic significance. In the Khmer Empire, it had a high level of social order and ranking. Therefore, Angkor Wat has a strong cultural, religious, and symbolic value, as well as aesthetic and artistic significance.
Angkor Wat is so vast that it is difficult to grasp its entire architectural plan if you are walking around the monument’s territory. From a distance, Angkor Wat looks like a colossal mass of stone, but if you get closer, you will see numerous elevated towers, chambers, and courtyards all of them located on different levels, and connected with stairways and covered galleries. Angkor Wat’s central tower’s overall height is surprisingly greater than it might seem; it is 699 feet high, which is an amazing index for a building raised in ancient times, without modern cranes and other facilities. This had been achieved with three rectangular or square levels; each of them is progressively smaller and higher than the one below. Covered galleries with columns are located on the first and second levels, and on the third level there are five towers. Four of them are located in the monument’s corners, and the last one is standing in the center. These towers are of a conical shape, and are decorated with the ornament of lotuses.
Moreover, the whole monument’s profile imitates a lotus bud. Surprisingly, you cannot see all the five towers at the same time they are visible only when looking at the monument from certain angles, and if you look from the entrance, you will not be able to see them. The shape of a cross is dominant for the majority of structures and constructions located within the monument, such as courtyards, basins, and so on. The hallmark of Angkor Wat is a curved sloping roof of galleries, chambers, and aisles: from a distance, it looks like a series of long narrow ridges, which looks incredibly beautiful.
